Barge feeder services in the Pearl River Delta in South China will be suspended from mid-December, earlier than usual, due to the disruption caused by the Corona disaster. As a result, container shipping companies will also bring forward their suspension of barge services from Japan to South China. The suspension of barge operations is expected to last nearly two months. In addition to the significant delays in sea transportation, the Chinese New Year will be followed by the Olympics, and there are concerns that the transportation disruption will be prolonged.
