CMA CGM Group has agreed to acquire FedEx Supply Chain in a deal valued at $1.4 billion, significantly expanding its North American contract logistics business through subsidiary CEVA Logistics. The acquisition, expected to close this year pending regulatory approval, will nearly triple CEVA’s regional logistics operations. Alongside the takeover, CMA CGM and FedEx plan to establish long-term commercial agreements covering air cargo capacity and ocean freight services through 2028. The partnership aims to improve network efficiency, aircraft utilization, and supply chain resilience. CMA CGM will also become a preferred, non-exclusive ocean carrier for FedEx, strengthening both companies’ global logistics capabilities.
