CMA CGM Group (France), a major freight forwarding company, and Air France-KLM Group (France and the Netherlands) have concluded a capital and business alliance. CMA CGM will take a stake of up to 9% in Air France-KLM and dispatch one director to Air France-KLM. The alliance will last for 10 years for the time being. The strategy is to combine Air France's air cargo hubs and network with CMA CGM's transportation capabilities, including marine and land transportation, to strengthen products and services and increase profitability.
