Air Canada (ACA/AC) and Emirates (UAE/EK) will extend their strategic partnership to 2032 as bilateral trade between Canada and the UAE continues to rise. Building on cooperation launched in 2022, the airlines plan enhanced freight services and are exploring a potential cargo-focused joint venture. The expanded alliance aims to strengthen bi-directional cargo flows linking the Americas, Middle East and Indian subcontinent. Officials say improved connectivity will support trade growth and deliver seamless services for shippers and passengers. Trade rose 14% in 2023, while enhanced air links boosted Canadian export shipments and cargo tonnage significantly year on year across key global logistics corridors.
