Ocean Network Express (ONE) is expected to post a 3.4-fold year-on-year increase in after-tax profit to 1.336 trillion yen ($11.76 billion) for the full year of fiscal 2021. In the second half of the fiscal year, the company expects to increase its profit by about 10 times compared to the same period last year, to $6.76 billion. In the second half of the year, the company expects to post a profit of $5 billion, taking into account a decline in cargo movements due to seasonal factors such as the Chinese New Year. The disruption in marine transportation is not expected to be resolved until after the Chinese New Year in 2022 at the earliest, and the containership business continues to perform historically well.
