According to the international air cargo handling results released by Nippon Express, the consolidated weight of exports from Japan in fiscal 2020 was 222,247 tons, up 8.7% from the previous year. Due to the effects of the corona disaster, the volume of exports from Japan continued to be negative until August, but it turned positive from September. The number of imports cleared through customs was 402,328 (-12.6%). Exports in March totaled 28,556 tons (up 83.9% yoy), marking the seventh consecutive month of increase and the largest increase since September.
