IHI Group uses AI to predict container ship arrivals and facilitate customs clearance

IHI Jet Service, an IHI Group company, has launched a supply chain visualization and tracking information provision business that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to predict the arrival time of container ships. The service combines real-time information on container vessels using Automatic Identification System (AIS) information with AI-based electronic customs clearance services. This is the world's first service that simplifies customs clearance procedures, prevents delays, and reduces various import-related costs.
