ASL Airlines Belgium (TAY/3V), an air cargo forwarder mainly in Europe, started cargo flights between Narita and Liège (Belgium) on October 1. The first route between the two cities is operated by a Boeing 747-400, with twice-weekly flights from Narita on Wednesdays and Saturdays and from Liège on Tuesdays and Fridays, for the time being via Nursultan or Almaty, Kazakhstan. The company plans to utilize its extensive network from Liège International Airport to European countries to stimulate air cargo flow between Japan and Europe.
