FedEx Express will expand and upgrade the FedEx Guangzhou Gateway, its logistics hub in Guangzhou, China, to strengthen its logistics hub function in the Asian region. The gateway is scheduled for completion in 2027 and will more than double the current area to more than 41,000 square meters. In addition to offices, there will be a sorting area, operations area, and warehouse, which will be able to sort up to 25,000 packages and documents per hour, three times the current capacity. FedEx says the new facility will facilitate cargo transport between southern China and the rest of the world, facilitate trade, and help connect small and medium-sized Chinese companies and e-commerce businesses with overseas markets.
