Chinese forwarder Apex expands air charter from Asia to North America

Apex Logistics, a major air forwarder in China, is expanding its air charters from Asia to major cities in North America to meet the peak season. This month, the company will tailor a total of 131 aircraft for charter to North America alone, including 64 from China, 41 from Hong Kong and Taiwan, and 26 from Vietnam, to meet peak season demand. The reduction in operational capacity at the airport site due to the "blockade management" of import cargo being implemented by the Chinese government has resulted in a puncture of export cargo at the country's Shanghai Pudong Airport, which has not seen a return of cargo flight supply. As the demand for transportation by charter flights increases, the company says, "We have been using chartered aircraft throughout the year and have been able to secure stable transportation space as many flights are operated by freighters.
