Global air cargo demand rose 8.2% in November 2024 compared to 2023, marking its 16th consecutive month of growth, according to IATA. However, decelerating growth since September and pressures from inflation, geopolitical tensions, and trade issues pose challenges.Cargo tonne-kilometers (CTK) reached record highs for November, while available capacity (ACTK) rose 4.6%. Strong market conditions boosted yields by 7.8%, with fuel costs 22% lower year-over-year. Asia Pacific led with 13.2% growth, followed by Latin America (11.6%) and North America (6.9%). Despite global uncertainties, e-commerce and industrial production are supporting demand, with air cargo volumes expected to grow 5.8% in 2025.
