Yusen Logistics handled a record 17,219 tons of international air cargo from Japan in March, the highest volume since the merger of the two companies. This was due to the inclusion of emergency demand for automobile-related transportation to North America. The company continues to operate weekly belly charters from Narita to the U.S. and Europe, securing stable space with its purchasing power by taking advantage of its volume, and providing competitive air transportation products even in a high freight market. The cooperation between departments across businesses and regions has enabled smooth operations even with record high cargo volumes.
