Nippon Express Forms Business Alliance with Chinese Company to Strengthen Pharmaceutical Logistics

Nippon Express has signed a memorandum of understanding for a business alliance with Shanghai Sheng Sheng Logistics, which is engaged in the domestic transportation of biopharmaceuticals. China has its own quality control standards for pharmaceuticals and a complex pharmaceutical distribution system, which creates high barriers to entry for foreign logistics companies. Through this alliance, the two companies will combine their global network outside of China with Seisheng Logistics' domestic transportation network and packaging technology to develop a multi-temperature ocean consolidation service and an integrated cold chain transportation service.
