Kintetsu World Express Receives Highest Recognition from Customs in Indonesia

Kintetsu World Express, Inc. has announced that its locally registered company in Indonesia (KWE (Indonesia)) has been commended by the Tanjung Priok port customs office in the northern part of the capital city of Jakarta as the best customs broker for 2021. Under this award system, 85 companies were nominated from among 30,000 customs brokers this year, and five companies including KWE (Indonesia) were selected as outstanding customs brokers. In 2016, KWE (Indonesia) became the first Japanese and foreign forwarder operating in Indonesia to be recognized as an Authorized Economic Operator (AEO). KWE Indonesia is the first Japanese and foreign forwarder to be certified as an Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) in Indonesia. KWE Indonesia was the first Japanese and foreign forwarder to be certified as an AEO (Authorized Economic Operator) in 2016, and as an operator with a well-developed legal compliance system, it has received relaxation of procedures from customs.
