According to the "Outlook for the Economy and Freight Transport in FY2022 (Revised)" released by the NX Research Institute, exports of containerized cargo for foreign trade maintained a slight but positive growth of 1.8% in FY2022. Imports in FY2022 are expected to increase by 2.2%, continuing the growth seen in the previous year. International airfreight exports barely maintained a positive growth of 0.2% in FY2022. Imports are expected to increase by 0.4% in FY2022, continuing the increase from the previous year. Industrial production is expected to remain sluggish due to the lockdown in China, shortages of materials such as semiconductors, and the impact of soaring raw material and fuel prices.
